Founder
An artist, designer, and cultural practitioner.
Omolola Oyetubo is a first-generation Nigerian-Jamaican American artist, designer, and cultural practitioner working across furniture, objects, exhibitions, and spatial experiences.
Shaped by a life between cultures and a background in cultural anthropology, her practice brings different histories, materials, and ways of gathering into conversation. In 2023, she founded HOUSE OF OYE ↗, a platform for exhibitions and cultural gatherings. AGBOLÉ OYÈ carries these inquiries into collectible design.
Central to her work is the idea of Fourth Spaces: environments where identities, objects, and traditions from different worlds can meet and create new forms of belonging. Her interests in neuroarchitecture and neurodesign further inform an exploration of how material, proportion, and space shape human experience.
Influenced by Afro-now-ism ↗, articulated by artist Stephanie Dinkins, she approaches African and diasporic knowledge as living material for the present and future.
